Zindagi Tamasha Is No Longer A Part Of Oscars 2021

Zindagi Tamasha: had selected for Pakistan’s official ‘Oscars 2021’ submission. Unfortunately; the movie is out of the Oscars race too.

In fact; One of the Pakistani movies which could not be released even after battling with all the criticism and bashing;

The movie Zindagi Tamasha was directed and co-produced by Sarmad Khoosat and his sister Kanwal Khoosat.

The movie was written by Nirmal Bano; Its casts include Arif Hassan, Eman Suleman, Samiya Mumtaz, and Ali Kureshi.

Zindagi Tamasha is based on the life of a maulvi in Pakistan.

Also, the rejection he faces after posting a video reciting poems.

It is a bilingual movie; which has shot in Lahore.

Earlier, the Pakistani Academy Selection Committee had selected Khoosat’s 15-minute film for Oscar in the ‘International Feature Film Award’ category for the 93rd Academy Awards.

Finally, the film is no longer an Oscar contender as the ‘Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ announced the shortlist for nine categories for Oscar 2021.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Faisal Kapadia,Asad-ul-Haq, Hamza Bangash, Syed Muhammad Ahmed, Mehwish Hayat, Hasan Shehreyar Yasin, Asim Abbasi, Arshad Mahmud, and Jamal Shah.

According to the details, the nominations; voting has started on Friday, March 5, 2021, Will end on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

Also, Nominations for Oscars 2021 will announce on Monday, March 15, 2021,

The Oscars will air on Sunday, April 25, 2021.
