Which iPhone models are becoming older? This is the roster

The US tech giant Apple has broken the terrible news to its customers: it intends to discontinue the older iPhone series, which will force consumers to rush out and purchase the newest models of their smartphones.

Should you be one of the individuals who are still holding onto this iPhone, you may also consider upgrading your life with a new phone.

The Sun cited a list supplied by the firm that included the 2014 release of the iPhone 6 Plus, which has a 5.5-inch display.

Given that the iPhone’s early models were smaller, it was a huge advancement.

Here is the list of those Apple phones that are being rendered obsolete by the California-based technology behemoth.

Given that the devices stated above are considered outdated, neither hardware nor software support would exist for those versions.

On the website of the iPhone manufacturer, it states: “Items are classified as vintage if Apple stopped offering them for sale more than five or fewer years ago. Items are deemed outdated if Apple stopped selling them more than seven years ago.”

The stage preceding obsolescent, known as vintage, is when users will start getting upgrades for their hardware and software.

An further statement reads, “discontinues all hardware service for obsolete products.”
