Through an honest post on Instagram, she revealed her battle with choriocarcinoma — a rare and aggressive form of cancer that originates from cells involved in placenta formation, often following a molar pregnancy.

She revealed that her cancer was caught very early, calling it “a huge blessing,” since choriocarcinoma usually spreads rapidly and is often diagnosed late. Arij described the condition as an aggressive cancer that can develop after a molar pregnancy — a rare pregnancy complication where abnormal tissue grows inside the uterus instead of a normal embryo.
“While molar pregnancies themselves are uncommon, in very rare cases, they can turn into choriocarcinoma — just like mine,” she shared. Expressing deep gratitude, Arij referred to this diagnosis as a chance at a “second life.”
