Authorities detain a guy who was striking unidentified ladies in New York City
Authorities eventually handcuffed the guy responsible for the spate of unprovoked attacks after many women reported being randomly assaulted while strolling through New York’s streets, according to USA Today.
Following an attack on at least one lady in Manhattan this week, Brooklyn resident Skiboky Stora, 40, was taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with assault, a spokesman for the New York Police Department told USA Today.
The 23-year-old TikTok celebrity Halley Kate informed the police that earlier this week, at around 10:20 a.m., she was strolling between West 16th Street and 7th Avenue when she was struck in the head by an unidentified individual.
Police told USA Today that the girl “fell to the ground and suffered injuries to the left side of her face.” She then received treatment at a nearby medical facility.
Women in New York City have reported incidents recently in which they were hit in the face or head by an unknown person who approached them.
Through TikTok, a number of victims notified other ladies to the situation.
Detectives apprehended Skora as a result of an investigation that the police launched, albeit they did not specify how they found the suspect.
While Skora’s hiring of a counsel is unknown, the probe is still underway.
