Azam Swati Barred from Travel Found Guilty in May 9 Cases

Azam Swati Stopped from Flying Abroad

Former minister Azam Swati was not allowed to fly to Dubai from Peshawar because his name was on the Passport Control List (PCL). This list is used to stop people from leaving the country.

When he reached the airport, immigration officers from the FIA stopped him. His name was added to the list by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), which is investigating him for a corruption case in Kohistan. NAB Peshawar had called him for questioning, but he didn’t show up and asked for more time instead.

A report about this incident has been sent to senior officials.

Swati Found ‘Guilty’ in May 9 Cases

Earlier, police told the Anti-Terrorism Court that Azam Swati, a leader of the PTI party, was found guilty in five cases linked to the May 9 incidents. These cases were related to violence and protests.

Police said their investigation is complete, and they believe Swati is guilty. The court gave Swati’s lawyers one last chance to give their arguments before the next hearing.
