PSL Recap Babar Azam’s Milestone Amidst Peshawar Zalmi’s Loss
Babar Azam made headlines in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) when he achieved a remarkable milestone on Sunday. He became the first cricketer in the tournament’s history to surpass the 3,000-run mark, showcasing his consistency and dominance with the bat over the years.
However, despite Azam’s brilliance, his efforts were not enough to steer his team, Peshawar Zalmi, to victory in their opening match of the ninth season against Quetta Gladiators. The match was characterized by an intense battle between bat and ball, with both teams putting up commendable performances.
Peshawar Zalmi faced the daunting task of chasing down a challenging target of 207 runs set by Quetta Gladiators. Azam took charge of the Zalmi innings with a composed knock of 68 runs, displaying his masterful strokeplay and ability to control the game’s tempo. His innings included an array of elegant shots, comprising six fours and two sixes, which demonstrated his versatility and skill as a batsman.
