Deepika expresses her excitement about beginning a family of her own

In an interview with Vogue Singapore, Indian actress Deepika Padukone expressed her excitement about starting a family with her husband of five years, Ranveer Singh. After dating for five years, the pair was married in 2018, and since then, their personal lives have frequently made news.

One question that people frequently ask the pair, who are regarded as two of India’s top actors, is when they want to become parents. The Jawan actor finally answered the question head-on when she disclosed that she is excited to establish a family of her own with her Bajirao Mastani co-star.

“I adore kids, and so does Ranveer. We eagerly anticipate the day when we may begin a family of our own,” Deepika told the publication. “When I meet the people I grew up with—my aunts, uncles, and family friends—they always mention how I haven’t changed one bit,” she continued, speaking about her family. That reveals a lot about our early years.

“In this industry, it’s easy to get carried away by fame and money,” the Pathaan superstar continued. At home, though, I’m treated like a nobody. Above all, I am a sister and a daughter. I hope that doesn’t alter. My family helps me stay grounded, and both Ranveer and I want to teach our kids the same morals.”

Deepika stated back in 2019 that although she and Ranveer desired children, they weren’t actively considering having kids. She had already voiced her frustration with what society expects of couples. “I find it unfortunate that society tends to put individuals in a pattern where they assume that just because they have been dating for a long time, they should eventually have grandchildren. It nearly seems like the stated expectation. Deepika said in an interview with HT Cafe, “I’m not surprised (by the rumors), we’re not startled by it at all.

“Do we intend to have children?” she continued. We both adore children, so of course we do. However, do we intend to become parents anytime soon? Not at all! We’re too self-centered and career-focused right now, and I don’t think it would be fair to have children at this time. We’re not even considering having children.
