Karachi – A young boy was caught on camera stealing iron bolts from a railway track near the Wireless Gate in Shah Faisal Colony. In the video, the child is seen removing bolts used to secure the tracks, raising concerns about potential safety hazards.
When confronted by a passerby, the boy admitted to selling the stolen iron to a local scrap dealer named Shahid. According to his confession, he removed around four bolts daily and earned Rs50 for each piece. At the time he was caught, he was carrying the iron in a white plastic bag.
Railway officials have warned that such thefts can destabilize track alignment and potentially lead to serious accidents. Police are investigating the viral video to confirm when and where it was recorded, as well as gathering information about the scrap dealer mentioned by the child.
The citizen who confronted the boy reportedly questioned him before letting him go, capturing the entire exchange on video.
