Heavy Rains Flood Streets and Homes in Chak Shahzad Area
CHAK SHAHZAD – After heavy rain, the water drains in Chak Shahzad and Park Road have overflowed, causing serious flooding in the area.
Many streets and houses in New Chattha Bakhtawar are underwater, turning the area into a pond. The rainwater has entered people’s homes and flooded the streets.
The worst-hit areas are streets 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, where residents are facing knee-deep water. Locals are struggling to move around and protect their belongings.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) have started rescue and relief operations to help the affected families.
