Conjuring Last Rites Tops Taken & Constantine

The Conjuring: Last Rites Surpasses Taken and Constantine at Global Box Office

The latest installment in the Conjuring franchise, The Conjuring: Last Rites, continues to perform strongly at the global box office. Having crossed the $100 million mark domestically, the film has already earned $243.6 million worldwide.

Currently ranked as the 16th highest-grossing film of 2025, Last Rites has outperformed titles such as 28 Years Later, Freakier Friday, Karate Kid: Legends, and The Naked Gun.

In an impressive feat, the movie has also surpassed the lifetime earnings of one of Liam Neeson’s most iconic films, the 2008 action thriller Taken, which helped cement Neeson’s status as an action star. In addition, it has outgrossed the 2005 superhero-horror hit Constantine, starring Keanu Reeves of The Matrix.

Box Office Breakdown: The Conjuring: Last Rites

According to Box Office Mojo, the current earnings stand as follows:

North America: $101.6 million

International: $142 million

Worldwide: $243.6 million

For comparison, the global earnings of the other two films are:

Taken: $226.8 million

Constantine: $230.8 million

This means The Conjuring: Last Rites has already surpassed Taken by roughly $16.8 million and Constantine by around $12.8 million.

The Conjuring Universe, consisting of nine films, has collectively grossed about $2.5 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing horror franchise in history. Here’s how Last Rites compares to other films in the franchise:

About The Conjuring: Last Rites

Inspired by real-life events, the film follows paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, as they face one final terrifying case. When a dark, malevolent force begins to haunt a family, the Warrens confront secrets and supernatural horrors that push them to their limits.

The film also features Mia Tomlinson, Ben Hardy, Tony Spera, and Steve Coulter in supporting roles.
