Wasim Akram gets why fans aren’t showing up for PSL
Famous Pakistani celebrity Fakhr-e-Alam recently shared on X post about the crazy and annoying journey he and cricket icon Wasim Akram took to get to the National Stadium in Karachi. The pair, who were going to watch a cricket match with other cricket enthusiasts, were unhappy about the absence of designated routes, the containerized road closures, and the resulting extreme traffic jams.
Fakhr-e-Alam shared their experience on social media, highlighting the necessity for officials to create a reasonable traffic flow plan to enable spectators to travel around the site with ease. He brought up the possibility that the National Stadium in Karachi was devoid of the anticipated numbers due to the difficult traffic conditions.
In the accompanying film, Akram expressed similar feelings to the actor, calling the circumstances a “nightmare.” Akram clarified that they were forced to do a U-turn and were eventually unable to go to the stadium after being stalled in traffic for an hour and a half. The legendary cricket player said that he could see why fans might be reluctant to travel to Karachi for games because of these practical difficulties.
Fakhr-e-Alam further emphasized that it created severe concerns regarding the accessibility for the general public if people who had special passes and decals on their automobiles, giving them extra rights, had trouble getting to the event. He emphasized the additional hardship Karachi’s residents experience as a result of poor traffic planning.
The pair asked local organizers and the Karachi traffic police to take immediate action to address the problem and come up with workable ideas for managing traffic. To ensure a hassle-free experience for cricket aficionados and prevent further disappointment for those wanting to attend live matches in Karachi, they urged authorities to streamline the pathways leading to the National Stadium. The need for better traffic management and infrastructure is stronger as the cricket season progresses in order to provide spectators with a better overall experience when they attend matches.

No defined routes anywhere and every side we tried was closed off with containers causing massive traffic congestion. Authorities are requested to make a sensible traffic flow plan. This is why… pic.twitter.com/H1ARXtNpzO
