Nine individuals are killed when a dilapidated building falls in Multan
Nine persons, including three women, were killed when a three-story residential structure in Multan Mohalla Jawadian near Haram Gate fell on Tuesday due to its poor structural integrity.
In the meanwhile, two persons were badly hurt in the event and received injuries. Dr. Kaleem Ullah, the District Emergency Officer for Rescue 1122, stated that they are receiving care at the Nishtar Hospital.
After receiving a report about the incident at about 3:30 am, the teams hurried to the scene to begin the rescue effort, according to the DEO.
He continued by saying that nine of the 11 individuals who were trapped beneath the rubble when the building collapsed died.
In addition, seven of the deceased belonged to the same family. According to the local government, among the deceased are children between the ages of 12 and 15.
Danish (15), Faheem Abbas (40), Ameer Ali (12), Waseem (14), Sanoobar (40), Bukhtawar Ameen (18), and Komal (13), were the names of the deceased.
In addition, Waqar and Mussarat Bibi were taken to the hospital after suffering significant injuries.
DEO Kaleem declared, “The rescue operation has been completed.”
Nine members of the same family—including a mother and her eight children—were killed in a terrible occurrence that occurred in December of last year when their house’s roof fell owing to fire brought on by a short circuit.
Three ambulances, the Rescue 1122, and the community worked together to put out the fire and save the occupants. Sadly, the clay and wood structure caught fire rapidly, hindering rescue efforts.
Hashim, Qasim, Hasan, and Sufyan were among the four sons and four daughters of Zakir who were recognized as the deceased.
