“24 Hours in Tesco” on Netflix becomes an unexpected hit with British viewers
Brits are divided on a recent Netflix documentary titled “24 Hours in Tesco,” with some describing it as “bizarre” and “intense propaganda.”
Described by Netflix as “a one-off special exploring the secrets behind Britain’s biggest supermarket chain, and unpacking what 24 hours at Tesco really looks like,” the film follows the employees of the massive supermarket chain.
Social media responses were mixed.
“Watching the 24 Hours in Tesco on Netflix out of sheer curiosity, and it’s such intense and bizarre Tesco propaganda,” joked one user on X, the former name of Twitter. The shop was dubbed “Everything To Everyone” by someone on the show. Tesco’s…it provides what customers want.”
Another said, “So true,” in agreement. propaganda.
A commenter made a joke, stating that 24 Hours in Tesco ranking among the top three films in the UK must be the epitome of everything British.
Even if it’s only for 43 minutes of supermarket shenanigans, Tesco appears to have successfully captured the nation’s attention despite the mixed reviews.
