Earthquake jerks in Pakistan, 12 February 2021
Earthquake jerks were felt throughout Pakistan. Including areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Among them were Mansehra, Swat, Upper, and Lower Dir, Shangla, Swabi, Malakand, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, and Bannu. Jerks were observed in Islamabad and Lahore too.
A 6.4 magnitude of earthquake shook whose depth was 80 kilometers. Its epicenter was Tajikistan.
These jerks were also felt in Balakot, Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Jhelum, Multan, Sargodha, and other areas. The earthquake’s epicenter was a city in Tajikistan while its depth has been recorded as 80 km.
Due to the earthquake, people came out of their homes in panic and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran. No loss of life and property was reported so far.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar directed health and rescue services to be on alert and monitor the situation closely to avoid any untoward incidents.
