Bilal Abbas overacts in “Ishq Murshid”: Waseem Abbas
Reacting to Bilal Abbas portrayal in the popular drama series Ishq Murshid, veteran actor Waseem Abbas recently revealed his thoughts and firmly cautioned him to avoid “overdoing” the part. Waseem valued Bilal’s on-screen connection with his co-star during the open discussion with presenter Mukarram Kaleem, who brought up the drama’s popularity, but thought that it occasionally was eclipsed by a sporadic overacting.
Waseem laughed and said, “I would say that he it (the drama) has the prayers of a murshid (religious guide).” To be honest, the episode we are going to talk about today is one I’ve watched. The well-known director Farooq Rind has created amazing TV dramas.
The actor claims that Rind’s most recent work has confused him by putting story over truth. “I don’t understand how a reasonable man has rented out a room to a young and handsome boy so that he and his daughter can spend eight or so minutes romancing on the rooftop,” Waseem said.
“It’s not in a room, no,” he said, highlighting the illogical reasoning for this representation. They pick an area that is visible so that there would be no defenses if they were discovered.
Regarding Bilal’s acting, Waseem remarked, “There are times when Bilal Abbas overacts,” and then he went on to describe a scene from the play in which he insisted that Bilal’s acting was too dramatic and out of step with the tone of the discourse. “The play has accumulated one billion views,” he continued. He is undoubtedly a highly talented and attractive actor who has done a great deal of work, yet he seems to be overacting in Ishq Murshid.
Waseem offered his explanation for why the show became well-liked while commenting on the highly appreciated on-screen chemistry between Bilal and his co-star Durefishan Saleem. “I believe that the romantic moments between the two have captured viewers. He insisted that the romance in the program was “covering” a lot of its flaws since “they both look very nice romancing each other.”
