Fast and Furious franchise will come to an end after 11 movies

Fast-and-Furious-Ends

It’s been a long road for the Fast and Furious series. Sadly it seems like it’s coming to an end. The franchise will conclude after the 10th and 11th films are out.

Justin Lin, who directed the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and ninth Fast and Furious films, will return to direct the final two installments. He said, fans shouldn’t fret as the main storyline featuring Vin Diesel’s iconic Dominic Toretto will be wrapping up; but spin-off flicks featuring other Fast and Furious characters are currently in pipeline at Universal Studios.

The OG cast regulars to include Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, and Tyrese Gibson, along with several actors who’ve played memorable roles in past films; such as Jordana Brewster, Lucas Black, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, and especially fan favorite Sung Kang. Fans love him as he starred with Black in Lin’s first franchise outing, 2006’s The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

The next movie titled F9, which will also star John Cena. They planned to debut it in 2020 but had to push it to Memorial Day 2021 in the wake-up of the coronavirus pandemic.

As the industry continues to struggle with better representation both in front of and behind the camera; the “Fast and Furious” movies proved how easily both can be done and wildly successful. Hopefully, those efforts will not end once the “Fast and Furious” ignition is shut off.
