FIA Opens Overseas Offices Against Trafficking
FIA to Open Overseas Offices to Combat Human Trafficking
Islamabad — The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is set to expand its international presence with the opening of multiple overseas offices, officials confirmed. Three offices will be established in Europe, specifically in the United Kingdom, Spain, and Italy. Additional offices will be set up in Turkey, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Sources within the FIA revealed that several human trafficking networks operating in Pakistan are being coordinated from these countries. This prompted the agency’s decision to strengthen its overseas operations.
The move comes in the wake of investigations that uncovered international involvement in human smuggling cases. Apart from combating illegal migration, the new offices are expected to assist foreign businessmen and tourists, ensuring smoother facilitation for travelers.
Officials emphasized that these offices will play a key role in disrupting human smuggling routes, monitoring international travel patterns, and enhancing cooperation with foreign authorities.
