FPSC MCQ Exams from Sept 21
FPSC Introduces New MCQ-Based Recruitment Exams from September 21
ISLAMABAD – The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) will shift all recruitment examinations to a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format, starting September 21, 2025.
Sources within the FPSC confirmed that candidates for Grades 16 and 17 will now appear in a single MCQ paper worth 100 marks. The passing score has been set at 40 marks, with a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
For Grades 18 and 19, candidates will take two separate MCQ papers of 100 marks each. General posts will require a minimum of 40 marks to pass, with the same negative marking applied for wrong answers.
Specialized positions, including doctors, general managers, teachers, and other professional or technical roles, will have higher passing requirements. Teaching posts, for example, will require candidates to secure at least 50% marks.
For senior-level positions in Grades 20 and 21, the exams will also consist of two MCQ papers, with a passing score set at a minimum of 50% in each paper.
This new structure aims to streamline the recruitment process and ensure transparency in candidate assessment across all government posts.
