Gandapur Condemns Martyrs Politicization Backs PTI
Gandapur Condemns Politicization of Martyrs, Reaffirms Loyalty to PTI Founder
PESHAWAR – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur strongly criticized the politicization of national martyrs, calling it a “disgraceful act” and labeling recent remarks by federal ministers as “deeply regrettable.”
Speaking on broader national issues, Gandapur emphasized the importance of dialogue and policy-driven solutions. “We have consistently called for meaningful talks. The only way forward is through policies and concrete actions,” he said.
Addressing the controversial events of May 9, Gandapur clarified that they were never part of his party’s policy. “Any violations were individual actions, not directed by the party leadership,” he stated.
He reaffirmed his loyalty to PTI founder Imran Khan, adding, “My position is with the founder of PTI — he is my leader. The official PTI Twitter account is still managed by those who were given access by him.” Gandapur emphasized that the party continues to follow the vision of its founding leader, not any other ideology or philosophy.
Gandapur also highlighted efforts by his government and party to secure the release of PTI’s incarcerated founder, stressing, “Not a single day has passed without trying for his freedom.”
On internal party matters, Gandapur criticized divisions within PTI, warning that certain individuals were deliberately weakening the movement. “Narrative-builders are damaging the party. Hypocrites exist within PTI. Certain people are running their own agendas — I warn them, they are harming the party,” he said. He added that despite repeated requests, he was blocked from holding meetings, calling it a deliberate attempt to stifle engagement.
He condemned false allegations and political propaganda, citing disputes over Senate elections and nominations as examples of ongoing internal divisions.
Turning to national issues, Gandapur described the recent surge in terrorism as “deeply alarming” and opposed the forced repatriation of Afghan refugees, calling the practice “inappropriate.”
Concluding his remarks, the KP Chief Minister announced a major PTI rally in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the 27th of this month to deliver a strong message to the people.
