Four Killed in Ghotki Attack Domestic Tragedy Reported
According to details, four people, including two women, were killed when gunmen opened fire on members of the Korai community near Khanpur Mahar, located in the Ghotki district.
Residents stated that a jurisdictional dispute between the Khanpur Mahar and Mubarakpur police stations prevented law enforcement from reaching the crime scene promptly.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of Khanpur Mahar confirmed that the incident occurred in the Haikal Pat area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Mubarakpur police station in Sukkur.
Women were among the five killed in a domestic dispute
He added that police teams from both stations have now been dispatched to the location.
The SHO further said that the attack appears to be the result of a longstanding tribal feud and that a formal investigation into the matter is currently underway.
Last month, after a heated domestic dispute, a mother tragically poisoned her three children. The devastating act resulted in the death of her seven-year-old daughter, while her two sons are fighting for their lives in critical condition.
Rescue officials in Sialkot reported that the woman gave the poison to the children after a domestic dispute with her husband, who is living abroad.
The ages of the affected children range from 3 to 9 years old. The accused woman has fled the scene, and a case has been registered based on a complaint filed by her brother-in-law in Sialkot.
