Government and establishment are accountable if something were to happen to Imran Khan while he was detained: PTI

The ex-CJP's Rs. 20 billion defamation lawsuit against Imran Khan was rejected

Speaking on behalf of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Shoaib Shaheen claimed that if something were to happen to the imprisoned party founder Imran Khan, it would be the fault of the current administration and the establishment.

The PTI founder is the target of threats and attempted murder. Why, out of all the jails in the nation, do terrorists just target Adiala Jail? Speaking to reporters outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) building in Islamabad on Thursday, Shaheen stated.

His remarks follow the Counter Terrorism Department’s (CTD) announcement that it had apprehended three terrorists who identified themselves as “Afghan” and that it had found a hand grenade, an improvised explosive device (IED), and a plan of Adiala Jail in their hands.

Khan is incarcerated in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, serving several terms in the Toshakana, un-Islamic marriage, and cipher cases. He is the only prime minister to be voted out of office.

Khan was also the target of an unsuccessful attempt on his life in November 2022 while he was organizing a protest against the government in Wazirabad. His leg was shot in several places.

“Tampering” with documents

Party officials say their mandate was “stolen” otherwise they would have won an even greater number of seats in the National Assembly, even though Khan was not barred from running in the elections and was still incarcerated.

In an interview with reporters, Shaheen said that at certain voting places, the average vote total had been displayed as 99.99% due to “tampering” with data pertaining to the results of the 2024 national election, which were, in reality, “impossible.”

The politician-turned-lawyer declared that his party will shortly be releasing a “white paper.”

Shaheen reiterated the accusations of “rigging” and stated that the party will file a Form 45 lawsuit against returning officers (Ros) who were found to have “tampered” with the records of the poll results.

He asserted that Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, the independent candidate, the PTI, Jamaat-e-Islami, and Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan all had “same Form 45.”

Shaheen, criticizing the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) administration, claimed that although the current government would get another loan from the IMF to spend on elites, the country will ultimately bear the entire financial cost.

In response to a query, he reiterated that his party will under no circumstances engage in talks with the “dacoits.”
