Govt to Slash Ministries Boost Private Sector Finance Minister
Addressing a press conference here finance minister said that the volume of the federal government will be slashed gradually.
Aurangzeb said that a committee constituted by the prime minister has reviewed 33 ministries and 400 departments of the federal government. “Various ministries and departments will be scrutinized step by step,” he said.
“The reforms process in the FBR is also being moved forward,” he further said.
The finance minister said that the economy has been in the right direction. “The government is taking steps in the interest of the country,” he further said.
He said the nation is being informed about the government’s plan of austerity measures. “We don’t want unsubstantial claims for reduction in government expenditures,” the minister said.
The Finance Minister said the private sector’s role will be enhanced and called the private sector to play its role in the economic development of the country.
He said the ministries’ cleaning and gardening works would also be outsourced.
