Couple Found Dead in Gujranwala; Police Investigating Possible Honor Killing
GUJRANWALA – Police have found the dead bodies of a man and a teenage girl in Gujranwala. The victims were identified as Sajid Masih and 17-year-old Sana Asif. Both belonged to the same village.
Sana was reported missing earlier this month, and a kidnapping case was filed against Sajid Masih and others on July 15, 2025.
According to SSP South, both were shot dead by unknown attackers. Their bodies were left at the scene along with a mobile phone, some cash, and two bullet shells from a 9mm pistol.
Police said the murder happened during the night, and local workers found the bodies in the morning and informed the authorities.
Sana’s brother, Waqas, has been taken into custody for questioning. Police are still investigating to find out the reason behind the killings.
Balochistan Case Gets Public Attention
In a related case, a video from Balochistan went viral recently. It showed a man and woman being killed in an alleged honor killing during Eid al-Adha. The video caused public anger and led to official action.
So far, 11 people have been arrested, including the chief of the Satakzai tribe. Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, confirmed the arrests and said the government supports the victims and continues to take strong action.
