Documentary Trailer: ‘I Have No Money’ by Wendy Williams
In the two-part Lifetime series “Where Is Wendy Williams?”, the talk show presenter and icon of New York City Wendy Williams has made a comeback after stepping back from the spotlight for a few months. Produced by Williams, the first trailer for the two-part Lifetime documentary has debuted, offering an emotional insight inside her contemporary life.
The video, which shows Williams’ drastically changed reality, jumps from backstage at “The Wendy Williams Show” to her current situation.
A bewildered Williams can be seen driving around the city in one shot, saying, “This doesn’t look like anything familiar.” In contrast, one of her team members says, “I think she’s losing memory, have you guys noticed that?” at this point. “Anybody can look at her and tell this is not just alcohol, there’s something more going on,” says a participant who is quickly quoted.
In the documentary, Williams’ family is shown showing their worry for her. “Mom has done a great job making it seem like everything is OK always,” her kid says. However, the truth is that something is amiss.
Did you see a neurologist? asks Williams an off-camera person in the scene that follows this comment. In response, she says, “To see whether I’m crazy? Ah, well.
The teaser also shows that Williams’ sister and she herself doubt the system when a judge placed Williams under financial guardianship.
“I’m broke. Williams continues, “And I’m going to tell you something: if it happens to me, it can happen to you.”
As the host of “The Wendy Williams Show” from 2008 until 2021, Williams gained notoriety. Her slogan, “How you doin’?” and her frank advise to both celebs and audience members made her well-known. With the show’s great popularity, Williams gained a sizable fan following. She became well-known for her WBLS radio talk show before launching her own talk show, which was featured in the 2006 reality series “The Wendy Williams Experience.”
Due to health concerns, Williams had to step down from hosting in 2021; nonetheless, several guest hosts took over. After that, the program was canceled, and its last episode aired in June 2022. Williams states in the documentary trailer that she would like to get back on television.
Lifetime will debut the two-part documentary on February 24 and 25. See the entire trailer down below.
