First Official Images of the New 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid
Honda Canada has released a first look at the 2025 Civic Hybrid car, which will go into production in Alliston, Ontario, this spring, in anticipation of the 2024 Montreal Auto Show.
Pictures of the Sport Touring model have surfaced; it is unclear if this will be the only trim level offered in Canada, but it is worth noting that the Canadian Civic Hybrid has a more aggressive look than the European model.
A distinctive honeycomb mesh grille up front and a restyled lower bumper are two distinguishing elements that add to the car’s aggressive and distinctive look. Model-specific insignia are the only visual alterations on the rear end, which is otherwise mostly identical to the gas-powered Civic Sport. The sides include unique alloy wheels and black mirror covers.
Though there are no interior photos yet, it is anticipated to resemble the normal Civic with a few small changes. The Civic Hybrid will be primarily produced at the Alliston factory, which is expected to account for more than 40% of Civic sales in North America.
The 2025 Civic Hybrid sedan is expected to begin production in the spring at the Alliston plant, and a few weeks later, in Greensburg, Indiana, the Civic Hatchback Hybrid will follow suit. The CR-V Hybrid is now produced at both factories.
The Civic Hybrid will use Honda’s two-motor hybrid powertrain, which will produce 247 lb-ft of torque and 204 horsepower overall. In terms of efficiency, it seeks to compete favorably with the Hyundai Elantra Hybrid and Toyota Corolla Hybrid, albeit cost may be a little higher. Honda Canada declared in 2022 that it will improve its Alliston facilities in order to produce hybrid cars in large quantities.
