Pakistan’s First Locally Assembled EV Honri Ve Unveiled at IDEAS 2024
Pakistan’s electric vehicle (EV) market is growing at a fast pace, with new entrants like Deepal by Changan Pakistan and BYD making their way into the industry. A major milestone in this journey is set to take place at the 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024, where Dewan Motors will introduce Honri Ve, Pakistan’s first locally assembled electric vehicle. This step highlights the country’s commitment to sustainable mobility and green technology.
The Honri Ve 2.0 is designed to be an affordable and efficient EV for urban driving. It offers a 30 kW power output, 84 Nm torque, and a top speed of 100 km/h. With a range of 200 km on a single charge, it can be fully recharged in just 7 hours. The vehicle is equipped with practical features like front disc brakes, 15-inch alloy wheels, halogen headlights, and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen for a comfortable and enjoyable driving experience.
For those seeking higher performance, the Honri Ve 3.0 is a step up. It delivers a range of 300 km per charge, supported by a 29.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. This version provides 35 kW of power and 87 Nm of torque while maintaining the same 7-hour charging time. It includes key safety features such as a rearview camera and a tire pressure monitoring system, ensuring both convenience and peace of mind for drivers.
The launch of the Honri Ve marks a significant breakthrough in Pakistan’s automotive industry, making eco-friendly transportation more accessible. As the country embraces electric mobility, these developments pave the way for a greener and more sustainable future.
