Imran Denied Rights Bail Rejected
Aleema Khan Says Imran Khan Is Not Getting Basic Rights in Jail
While talking to the media outside an anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi on Thursday, Aleema Khan said that Imran Khan is being treated unfairly in jail. She said he is not allowed to read books or talk to his children.
Aleema compared this to how Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz were treated when they were in jail. She said they were given many comforts, like staying in rest houses.
She also blamed the Punjab government, led by Nawaz Sharif’s party (PML-N), for trying to remove 26 PTI members from the Punjab Assembly.
Aleema said that Imran Khan has told the PTI party to start a new political movement after the 10th of Muharram. This means PTI plans to become more active, even though things are difficult right now.
Court Rejects Imran Khan’s Bail in Eight Cases
Earlier this week, on Tuesday, the Lahore High Court said no to bail for Imran Khan in eight cases linked to the May 9 riots.
These cases include:
Attack on Jinnah House
Askari Tower case
Fire at Shadman Police Station
Before this, an anti-terrorism court had already rejected his bail in these cases, so Imran Khan’s team went to the high court for help.
During the hearing, the government lawyer told the court that Imran Khan gave orders to PTI leaders and supporters to attack military places.
