Imran tells PTI to keep a distance from people who defame the Army: Marwat

Aside from the PML-N, PPP, and MQM, Imran reiterates his willingness to speak with all parties

Imran Khan, the party’s imprisoned chairman, has instructed the PTI’s leadership to denounce and disassociate the PTI from anyone—insiders or outsiders—who is attempting to stoke tensions between the PTI and the Pakistan Army.

Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, the PTI’s recently appointed Senior Vice-President, told The News on Monday that he had received instructions from Khan to cut ties with anyone within the party or on its social media platforms who is criticizing, defaming, or inciting hostility toward the Pakistan Army.

According to Marwat, Imran Khan has given him the order to refute the notion that the PTI is opposed to the army, which Imran has long said is essential to the nation’s security and defense.

According to the vice-president of the PTI, Khan also lavishly honors the defense force martyrs for their selfless devotion to their nation and its citizens. According to him, Imran Khan empathizes with the suffering endured by the families of young officers and soldiers who lost their lives, and he promises them that the PTI will always support them.

Marwat cited Khan as saying, “The nation’s pride is its martyrs.” Senior lawyer Marwat stated that he has been speaking at important public gatherings of PTI workers in KP in recent days. He claimed that throughout these open gatherings, people were chanting “Pak Army Zindabad.” He claimed that honors were also given to the defense forces’ martyrs at these open gatherings.

The vice-president of the PTI claimed that the vloggers and purported PTI supporters who were disparaging the army had nothing to do with the party. Marwat declared, “We condemn such characters and distance ourselves from them.” He further added that the PTI would cut ties with any members of its social media team who denigrate the Pakistan Army as an institution.

According to him, Imran Khan also anticipates that his supporters and social media posts would not support any narrative that is anti-army and is being spread by “any so-called sympathiser” of the PTI or Imran Khan, as described by Marwat. The party, he declared, will never longer put up with anyone disparaging the Army.

Recently, Sher Afzal Khan Marwat was named Senior Vice-President of the PTI. Marwat also represents Imran Khan in a number of court issues the PTI chairman is involved in. Because Imran Khan is an important part of Marwat’s legal team, he often interacts with Imran Khan, unlike other PTI party figures who are prohibited from doing so.

Marwat has recently placed more emphasis on planning and speaking at large-scale public gatherings of PTI employees in the KP. PTI officials typically gripe about their inability to have corner meetings, public gatherings, or even rallies. Marwat, on the other hand, has recently accomplished this with success
