The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on X that the meeting happened outside the 3rd Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum in Brussels.
The two parties emphasized the importance of diplomacy in resolving disagreements as they discussed regional and global issues throughout the meeting.
They also emphasized the necessity of forming alliances in order to address global issues.
Speaking at the 3rd Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum, the foreign minister advocated for diversified international partnerships and tight cooperation in order to address global concerns.
In the meantime, the foreign minister participated in the roundtable discussion on “Investments, Economic Resilience, and Shared Prosperity.”
He described the course that international partnerships will take in his remarks. In order to get away from ideas of great power contestation and polarizing bloc politics, he emphasized the necessity for shared responsibility.
He suggested a three-tiered strategy that includes South-South triangular cooperation, mechanisms for addressing climate change, and the creation of global digital cooperation centers.
