The record producer for Zayn Malik shares details about his next album
Once again, Zayn Malik is in the studio.
According to a recent Rolling Stone article, the 31-year-old artist collaborated with record producer Dave Cobb to finish the album after spending years alone in his Pennsylvanian home crafting it.
In an interview with the newspaper, Cobb acknowledged that Malik’s voice was what initially drew him to him.
It has the sounds of triumph, love, grief, and humanity. He told the magazine, “I feel like this record is taking the glass out of his spirit and giving it to his fans directly.”
“Zayn has really created his own universe on this record, he really has no fear and is speaking straight from his soul,” Cobb added, discussing the eagerly awaited album.
Cobb’s notable past collaborations with rock and country musicians like Lady Gaga and Chris Stapleton might hint at the genre of the upcoming record.
In an interview with Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast last year, the former member of One Direction gave a sneak peek at his new album.
“I’m working on a record that I don’t think many will anticipate.” For me, it sounds different,” he remarked.
Additionally, there is additional storyline that includes real-life experiences and other things. “There are a few mentions of my daughter in there,” he went on, speaking of his 3-year-old daughter Khai with ex-Gigi Hadid.
