Police Investigate After Dumper Set on Fire Following Karachi Accident
KARACHI – Police have registered a case against 20 to 25 unidentified individuals after a dumper was set ablaze in Karachi.
According to officials, the FIR includes charges related to property damage, rioting, and arson. The report states that the incident unfolded after a female motorcyclist was injured when hit by the dumper. In response, a group of enraged individuals set the vehicle on fire, escalating the chaos.
Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend those responsible.
Dumper set on fire after accident in Karachi
This incident comes shortly after another tragic accident on Rashid Minhas Road, where a speeding dumper ran over a motorcycle in the Federal B Area. The crash claimed the lives of 22-year-old Mahnoor and her 14-year-old brother, Ahmed Raza, leaving their father critically injured. Following the accident, angry residents set fire to seven dumpers in the area.
Heavy police and Rangers contingents rushed to the scene to restore order. SSP Gulberg confirmed that the dumper driver has been taken into custody.
