Free Parking Implemented Across Karachi by Sindh Government
Free Parking Announced Across Karachi
KARACHI – Good news for drivers in Karachi! The Sindh government has officially ended parking fees on public roads across the city.
This step follows the vision of Mayor Murtaza Wahab, who promised free parking for all. A new notification by the Local Government Department now bans parking charges in all 25 towns of Karachi.
People will now only pay parking fees at special places like private plots, parking plazas, or specific areas managed by local councils.
All town municipal corporations have been told to start this new rule right away. The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) had already stopped charging fees, and now all other towns will follow the same rule.
The government has also launched a citywide campaign to stop illegal parking fees. Anyone found taking money illegally will face strict action.
The decision was made under the orders of the Sindh Chief Minister. Mayor Wahab said the move is for the benefit of the public.
Municipal officers must make sure the rule is followed. If they don’t, they will face disciplinary action from the government.
