Karachi Rain Forecast Monsoon to Continue Till June 29
Light rain and drizzle have been happening in Karachi since early this morning. The weather office (Met Office) says that more rain is expected with breaks in between.
The cool sea breeze has stopped, and winds are now blowing from the northeast at a speed of 9 km/h.
This rain is happening because of a weather system called a westerly wave, and it may continue in Karachi until Sunday, June 29.
Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) warned that heavy rain could cause flooding in low-lying areas of Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, Thatta, and Badin.
