Around 2:30 PM on August 20, short but intense rain hit Saddar, Shah Faisal Colony, Scheme 33, Malir, and Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

Earlier, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab urged residents to stay home and assured that roads affected by yesterday’s floods had been cleared. He added that the city’s drainage system is ready to handle up to 40mm of rainfall.

By 3:15 PM, Nazimabad, Federal B Area, Defence, Clifton, and surrounding areas also experienced heavy showers.
