Speeding Trailer Kills Motorcyclist, Driver Beaten by Bystanders
KARACHI – A fatal road accident occurred on Thursday when a speeding trailer rammed into a motorcycle, killing the rider instantly. The tragic incident sparked public outrage at the scene.
According to eyewitnesses, the trailer driver attempted to flee but was intercepted by an enraged crowd. The bystanders reportedly physically assaulted the driver before the police arrived.
Law enforcement officers reached the spot shortly after being informed, dispersed the crowd, and took the driver into custody. He was later shifted to the local police station for legal proceedings.
This is the latest in a series of similar deadly accidents involving heavy vehicles in Karachi.
In June, a motorcyclist was killed on the spot after being hit by a speeding water tanker near Vita Chowrangi in the Korangi area. Rescue teams shifted the body to a nearby hospital.
In a separate earlier incident, a pregnant woman and her husband lost their lives after a water tanker ran over their motorcycle, raising serious concerns over road safety and the regulation of heavy traffic in the city.
