passing of fellow ASTRO member Moonbin, Cha Eun Woo feels "guilty"

Recently, ASTRO’s K-Pop idol Cha Eun Woo spoke candidly about his sadness over the passing of bandmate Moonbin.

On April 19, 2023, the ASTRO member committed suicide in his home, according to StyleCaster.

During his guest visit on “You Quiz on the Block,” Cha Eun Woo discussed his bandmate.

He said, “Last year was hard,” adding that although he had written lyrics for his most recent album to reflect his pain, he frequently felt overburdened.

Eun Woo said, “I felt guilty,” and continued, “He appears in my dreams.” I don’t want to respond when someone inquires about my well-being. I’m working hard because I just want to get better. That seems to be what Binnie would desire.

As the interview came to a close, Eun Woo texted his bandmate.

“How are you doing, Binnie? I say to you, I miss you. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of your portion. Come together one more.

Eun Woo disclosed in the same interview that he wasn’t conventionally scouted for K-Pop. “I was offered an audition while I was attending physics cram school,” he stated.

He was first apprehensive, but he followed his mother’s advice and started his training.

Eun Woo said, “There was no area I was good at,” outlining the early challenges. “After 3.5 years, I developed endurance and patience.”

The interview also discussed his relationship with other members of ASTRO. He remarked, “We’re deeply connected,” adding that he even forced himself to publicize the group in spite of pressure from the limelight.
