KP Launches Tourist Portal for Foreign Visitors’ Safety
PESHAWAR – In a major step toward promoting secure and hassle-free tourism, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism and Culture Authority has officially launched an Online Foreign Tourist Registration Portal aimed at streamlining the entry process for international visitors to the province.
Dr. Abdul Samad, Secretary of KP Tourism, Culture, Archaeology & Museums, announced during a high-level meeting focused on ensuring the safety of tourists visiting the region. He stated that the digital platform will soon also cater to foreign mountaineers and trekkers entering Pakistan on tourist-category visas.
“This portal is designed to simplify the registration process for foreign travelers, making it easier for them to access and explore KP’s scenic landscapes and rich cultural heritage while ensuring better coordination with security agencies,” said Dr. Samad.

The newly introduced system allows tourists to apply for required No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) to visit regions such as Upper Dir, Chitral, Swat, and other northern areas. Tourists can submit their passport copies, visa details, and travel itineraries directly through the portal, while also checking the status of their applications in real-time.
To further support visitors, lists of approved travel guides, transport services, and other trusted tourism-related providers will be made available on the platform.
Dr. Samad emphasized that the initiative reduces paperwork and delays, allowing for faster application verification. The app is available on the Google Play Store and the official KP Tourism website.
He added, “This digital transformation is a key part of our commitment to safe, sustainable tourism that showcases KP’s unmatched hospitality and heritage.”
