Maryam is charged with "orchestrating his assassination" by Marwat

Sher Afzal Marwat, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has made shocking accusations, saying that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is planning an assassination conspiracy against him. The grave accusations surfaced on Saturday when Marwat told reporters outside Parliament House that the head of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had used “contract killers” to assassinate him.

Marwat said that the purported contract to kill him included actual cash transactions in addition to verbal threats.

According to him, CM Maryam approved the money for the evil scheme, and the transaction happened in Dubai. The PTI leader said that he planned to disclose the intercepted phone conversations—which revealed the chief minister’s involvement—with the appropriate investigative authorities.

In the meantime, Maryam Nawaz has been accused by former PTI legislator Shandana Gulzar, who has been called in by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The FIA opened an investigation into the grave charges against Gulzar after receiving a complaint from the PML-N.

Punjab’s Information Minister Uzma Bukhari urged that Gulzar produce hard proof to back up her claims in reaction to the rapidly worsening circumstances. Bukhari emphasized that she could not avoid responsibility because the government would not permit it.
