Matiari Woman Undergoes Successful Tummy Tuck Surgery, 8kg of Fat Removed
MATIARI – A 55-year-old woman from Matiari has successfully undergone a tummy tuck surgery, performed by Dr. Kashan Sheikh and Dr. Roshan Chandio, in a notable medical achievement.
According to Dr. Roshan, the patient had been struggling with severe mobility issues due to excessive abdominal fat. During the procedure, surgeons removed approximately 8 kilograms of excess fat from her body. The surgery lasted for more than two hours and was declared successful, with the patient now reported to be in stable condition.
Dr. Roshan highlighted that such cosmetic procedures are typically available only in a few major private hospitals in Karachi, making this surgery a significant milestone in accessible healthcare for patients in interior Sindh.

In a similar case, a female school teacher from Lahore, who had been bedridden for 14 years due to extreme obesity, regained her mobility following a successful weight loss procedure. The surgery was performed by Professor Maaz ul Hassan, who removed over 90 kilograms of excess weight through a free-of-cost bariatric surgery.
The teacher had weighed nearly 200 kilograms and could not move without assistance. “The procedure typically costs up to Rs2 million,” said Dr. Hassan, “but as doctors, we must help those in need.”
These successful operations reflect the growing medical advancements and compassionate healthcare services being offered across Pakistan.
