Meghan Markle Netflix Show in Trouble

Meghan Markle Netflix Show in Trouble

Meghan Markle’s Netflix Series Faces Uncertain Future Amid Ratings Drop

Fresh betting odds from Pundit Arena suggest Meghan Markle’s lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, could be cancelled after just two seasons, dealing a potential setback to the Duchess of Sussex’s ambitions in television.

The series, which returned on 26 August with episodes featuring candle making, floral design, and celebrity guests, has reportedly struggled to replicate the success of its debut run. According to recent Netflix data, the show has failed to attract the same viewership, sparking speculation that the streaming giant may be considering ending the project.

Meghan Markle, who launched the series through her production company Archewell Productions, has been deeply invested in its success since signing her multi-million-dollar deal with Netflix in 2020.

Pundit Arena also pointed to other possible directions for Markle’s career, with strong odds on her publishing a personal memoir, exploring fashion ventures, or even returning to acting.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the series, Meghan will appear in a holiday special later this year titled With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration. The festive programme promises to showcase family traditions, seasonal crafts, and holiday treats, though it remains unclear if a third season of the main series will be commissioned.

Season one of With Love, Meghan had initially reached Netflix’s Global Top 10 TV list and was viewed in 24 countries. However, the latest ratings indicate a noticeable decline in audience engagement, marking a potential blow to Markle’s media career and raising questions about her long-term partnership with Netflix.

Also in the spotlight: Meghan recently celebrated the 69th birthday of her mother, Doria Ragland, sharing a heartfelt Instagram Story. In the video, Meghan affectionately kisses her mother, highlighting the close bond between them. Doria, who was born on 2 September 1956 and lives in Los Angeles, appeared smiling alongside her daughter. Meghan wore a white blouse, while Doria sported a casual Snoopy-print top, creating a warm and playful moment for fans.
