Miley Cyrus Says She Has No Desire to Tour Again

Miley Cyrus Opens Up About Why She Has No Plans to Tour Again

Grammy-winning artist Miley Cyrus has revealed she has no plans to return to touring, despite having the physical capability and multiple opportunities to do so.

In a candid new interview with an American television channel, the 31-year-old singer, known for chart-topping hits like Flowers, opened up about her decision to stay off the road — a move she says is rooted in her commitment to protecting her mental health.

“I do have the physical ability, and I have the opportunity to tour. I wish I had the desire, but I don’t,” Cyrus stated. She emphasized that the mental strain of life on tour is what ultimately holds her back, highlighting the lack of support systems for artists traveling constantly.

Referencing late music legend Prince, she added, “There are artists like Prince that are not here today that lived such a high-intensity lifestyle on the road. It’s really hard to maintain sobriety on the road, which is a really important pillar of stability in my life.”

The singer also spoke about the emotional rollercoaster of performing live for massive audiences. “You have so many thousands of people screaming at you, so dopamine — you’re feeling a lot of love — and then you crash at the end of the show. You start thinking that one person loving you is not enough. It needs to be 10,000, it needs to be 80,000,” she explained.

Cyrus, who released her ninth studio album Something Beautiful in May, hasn’t toured in over a decade, even skipping live global runs for her previous albums. Her latest comments make it clear that fans may have to rely on recordings and digital content to stay connected to the pop star’s music for the foreseeable future.
