Moiz Ullah Driving Atoms' Profitability with Customer-Centric Engineering

Moiz Ullah engaged in a comprehensive discussion with [Publisher] concerning the strategic confluence of engineering prowess and customer-centric endeavors that catapulted Atoms into profitability. Atoms, the pioneering New York-based shoe e-commerce venture launched in 2019 by co-founders Sidra Qasim and Waqas Ali, recently celebrated a landmark achievement: its inaugural profitable year.

As the Engineering Lead at Atoms, Moiz Ullah highlighted the deliberate focus on customer satisfaction and digital advancements that propelled Atoms to success. Moiz described how the founders launched Atoms to improve people’s lives through thoughtful shoe design. Their breakthrough sneakers prioritize comfort with tailored heel-to-toe support, offering one of the most accurate shoe measurements in the industry. According to Moiz, the founders recognized the transformative potential of shoes in people’s lives.

Customer-Centric Foundation

However, the founders understood the importance of building a customer-centric foundation to scale the business. Moiz emphasized the significance of establishing strong fundamentals for sustainable growth and profitability.

Joining Atoms as Engineering Lead in 2022, Moiz brought valuable experience from his previous roles in guiding technology and experience transformations for startups. He advocated for simplicity in design and leveraging existing solutions for scalability, especially with limited resources.

“I believe simpler is always better,” said Moiz Ullah, sharing his experience. “You don’t need to reinvent the wheel for a large majority of projects. If there is a solution out there that works it’s better to use that, especially when you are limited on resources. Scalability also follows simplicity, when something works well at its core it is easier to scale, which is a crucial requirement.

Upon Moiz’s arrival, Atoms had achieved initial success with its sneakers but aimed to enhance its customer experience and digital infrastructure for future expansion. Moiz spearheaded efforts to streamline the shopping experience, improve backend processes, and launch strategic collaborations like the MKBHD collection.

With these foundational improvements in place, Atoms experienced rapid growth, fueled by initiatives such as collaborations with celebrities like Marques Brownlee and expansion into children’s shoe sizes. Moiz attributed Atoms’ success to its customer-centric approach and expects the brand to maintain its market leadership with a continued focus on thoughtful product development and customer satisfaction.

Moiz concluded by affirming Atoms’ commitment to its initial vision of adding value for customers and expressed confidence in the brand’s long-term success through strategic growth initiatives.
