Mustafa Kamal Slams PTI Urges PPP to Solve Karachi Issues
In an interview with ARY News, Mustafa Kamal, now the Health Minister, said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has tried everything—protests, strikes, secret talks, and even writing to foreign leaders—but failed to get results.
He said PTI’s actions have left little room for real political solutions.
Mustafa Kamal also talked about his new role as Health Minister. He said he is not upset by criticism because he is used to it.
Speaking about Sindh’s problems, especially in Karachi and Hyderabad, Kamal said he wants to fix poor governance. He believes his party, MQM-P, has learned important lessons from its past struggles.
He criticized the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), saying MQM-P has faced more violence and political pressure. He repeated MQM’s demand for fair resource sharing, saying Karachi gives nearly 50% of Pakistan’s income but gets less than 20% in return.
He asked PPP to work with MQM-P to fix Sindh’s issues.
Kamal also mentioned that Karachi used to see killings every day, but things have now improved, though threats remain.
Earlier, MQM-P condemned high traffic fines for cars without the new Ajrak-style number plates in Karachi. They called it a way to unfairly charge people.
MQM-P lawmakers asked the government to make the number plate system clear and give more time to drivers before handing out fines.
