The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a warning about the growing risk of dangerous diseases spread by mosquitoes and other seasonal insects. These insects can carry viruses that lead to serious illnesses such as dengue fever, malaria, chikungunya, and other vector-borne diseases.
According to the NDMA, insect-borne diseases cause about one million deaths worldwide each year. The authority urges the public to take simple but effective precautions to reduce the risk of infection.
