Bilawal dispels a “myth” regarding PML-N effectiveness
In an attempt to dispel the “myth” that his party’s government in Sindh performed worse than the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed the hope that voters will choose “real” performance.
In a series of tweets sent on the microblogging website X, Bilawal, who is running for three National Assembly seats from Larkana, Shahdadkot, and Lahore, stated that it is still a “fact” that the PPP is superior at running the economy.
In his tweets, Bilawal referenced a book titled “Human Security in Pakistan,” written by well-known economist Hafiz Pasha, which claimed that Sindh outperformed Punjab in a number of categories. He also recalled his debate challenge to the leaders of the PML-N.
The PMLN’s refusal to participate in a debate for PM candidates is very regrettable. The PPP chairman stated in one of his blogs, “One myth I hoped to address is the fiction that Punjab performs better than other provinces because of PMLN.”
As the book “Human Security in Pakistan” by Hafiz Pasha illustrates. Sindh currently outperforms Punjab in a number of areas. such as human security overall, gross regional income, freedom from dread and want, and governance,” he went on.
“PMLN fled a debate because they knew this, and that’s why. Regrettably, the PMLN performance myth is maintained by the media. The truth is known by the people. Tomorrow, the public will choose actual performance over “showbazi,” he continued.
In a different post on X, Bilawal provided information about the commodities and services that Pakistan exports, stating that there is general consensus that growing exports is the only way to help the nation escape its current economic predicament.
According to the data, Pakistan’s exports were valued $20.5 billion in 2008, $31.5 billion in 2013 (under the PPP’s rule from 2008 to 13), and $30.5 billion in 2018 (during the PML-N government’s rule from 2013 to 18). The PTI administration will spend $39.5 billion in 2022, whereas the PDM coalition government will spend $36 billion in 2023.
“Exports have declined each time the PMLN has controlled the financial sector. Despite a worldwide slump, exports rose the highest when PPP was in charge. He added, “PPP is better at managing the economy—that much is true.
