Karachi’s intermediate exams are postponed until June 1

Karachi's intermediate exams are postponed until June 1

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) postponed exams on Wednesday once more, and as a result, intermediate exams in Karachi will now take place on June 1.

The new date comes after an earlier one that was revealed last week, when the chief minister of Sindh’s spokeswoman declared that the exams, which were originally scheduled to begin on May 22, will really begin on May 27.

The second rescheduling is due to the matriculation exams being rescheduled for May 28 due to a heatwave alert.

Approximately twenty-one higher secondary schools that are designated as matric test centers also function as intermediate exam centers.

The notification made it clear that it was not possible for certain schools to administer the matric and intermediate exams at the same time. As a result, the BIEK has decided to postpone the yearly intermediate Part I and II exams.

Subject groupings such as pre-medical, pre-engineering, general science, and home economics will all be examined on the rescheduled date.

Exams for regular, supplemental, improvement of grade, TP (12 papers), additional subjects, short subjects, and exceptional opportunity exams will be administered to candidates on the rescheduled date.
