PAF Delivers Aid, Evacuates Stranded Families in Gilgit Amid Floods

GILGIT – Demonstrating steadfast commitment in challenging weather and rugged mountain terrain, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft airlifted 7 tons of essential supplies, including dry rations, daily-use items, and life-saving medicines, from PAF Base Nur Khan to Gilgit, according to a press release from the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The relief consignment will be distributed across remote flood-affected valleys in coordination with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), ensuring that families cut off by damaged communication lines receive critical assistance.

In a parallel humanitarian operation, PAF teams also evacuated 75 stranded individuals from the disaster-hit areas, providing immediate relief and safety.

These swift, coordinated efforts form part of a nationwide emergency relief campaign, highlighting the Pakistan Armed Forces’ ongoing commitment to protecting lives during natural disasters.

Over the coming days, PAF aircraft and ground teams will continue relief operations, delivering food, medicines, shelter, and medical support to vulnerable communities.

The timely response of the Pakistan Air Force has offered renewed hope to families in Gilgit-Baltistan, underscoring the armed forces’ dedication to standing with the nation in every hour of crisis.
