Pakistan Internet Restored PTCL Resolves Nationwide Outage

Internet Services Fully Restored Across Pakistan After Nationwide Disruption

KARACHI – Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has confirmed that internet services have been fully restored across the country following a widespread disruption that began Tuesday evening.

According to a PTCL spokesperson, the issue has now been resolved, and operations have returned to normal. The disruption affected users nationwide, including major cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar, causing slow or interrupted browsing and outages in both online and call services.

The outage created significant difficulties for individuals and businesses relying on digital platforms. Many online workers expressed frustration over the unavailability of essential applications, while e-commerce and remote work activities were also impacted.

IT and Telecom Minister Shaza Fatima acknowledged the issue, stating that professional officials were investigating the root cause. “We will inform the public as soon as the reasons are identified and solutions are provided,” she said.

The incident has highlighted concerns over Pakistan’s IT infrastructure, particularly as many people depend on the internet for work, education, international communication, and e-commerce—challenges exacerbated by recent severe weather and heavy rains.
