Pakistan Security Forces Kill 35 Militants in Bajaur and South Waziristan Operations
Islamabad, September 13, 2025 — Pakistan’s military reported that security forces carried out intelligence-driven operations in Bajaur and South Waziristan districts, targeting militants involved in terrorist activities.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in Bajaur, security forces engaged a group of militants described as “Khwarij,” resulting in the deaths of 22 terrorists after an intense exchange of fire.
“In a separate encounter in South Waziristan, 13 more Khwarij were neutralized,” the ISPR said. “Tragically, 12 of our brave soldiers were martyred while fighting gallantly during the operation.”
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants, who were reportedly linked to multiple acts of terrorism in the region. Intelligence reports also indicated the involvement of Afghan nationals in these operations.
The ISPR expressed concern over the continued use of Afghan soil by terrorist groups against Pakistan, urging the interim Afghan government to prevent such activities.
“Sanitization operations are ongoing to ensure no other militants remain in the area. Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to eliminating the threat of Indian-backed terrorism, and the sacrifices of our personnel strengthen this resolve,” the statement concluded.
