Nadra worries about a staff member’s “abduction”
The National Database Regulatory Authority (Nadra) expressed alarm on Friday over rumors that one of its officers had vanished in Islamabad and hoped the “missing” employee would be found shortly.
The brother of Nadra Deputy Assistant Director Najeebullah was afraid his sister had been kidnapped in the nation’s capital earlier today.
A Nadra spokesman said in a statement that the administration was in communication with the employee’s family.
The police were looking into the situation, the spokeswoman said, adding that they hoped to find the employee shortly.
It is important to note that the brother of the Nadra officer, who works in the Prime Minister’s Office, has already requested that a case be filed at the Ramna Police Station.
“My brother left the house last night at nine o’clock and hasn’t come back since. My brother called, but the voice seemed to be frightening him. He mentioned in the first information report that “someone had made him sit and the phone was hung up.”
The complainant believed that his brother had been kidnapped, according to the FIR.
